Selected projects

Measurement-Aware PINNs for Dopamine Transport (2026) An inverse PINN (JAX, Flax NNX, Optax) estimates the diffusion coefficient and uptake rate of a 2D reaction–diffusion model of dopamine release from sparse electrode recordings, passing the network output through a model of the electrode. It is about as accurate as classical least squares and close to the Cramér–Rao bound. Submitted to Biomedical Signal Processing and Control (Elsevier), October 2026. Code & data

MS Thesis: Non-local Prey-Predator Simulation (2025) A Krylov subspace spectral solver for stiff, non-local prey-predator models, up to 40× faster than standard exponential integrators, with relative errors below 10^{-8} on grids up to N = 8000.

Adaptive Actuarial Exam Prep Platform (2026) Full-stack adaptive learning platform (FastAPI, Next.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis) for SOA actuarial exams. Uses Item Response Theory and Bayesian Knowledge Tracing with Fisher-information-based item selection to personalize question difficulty in real time. github.com/Hachero98/actuarialprep
